History
The Philadelphia Chapter has honored these Fellows in the past: Alina Wheeler, Hans Alleman, Kenneth Hiebert, Joel Katz, Frank Baseman and Laurie Churchman.
Process
Any current AIGA Philadelphia member may nominate a candidate from the list above. The AIGA Philadelphia board will review all nominations then vote on one final recipient for 2010 in the spring.
Events
The final recipient will be recognized and awarded at the AIGA Philadelphia Fellows Recognition Dinner Party in June of 2010. See info and photos from last year’s event here. The fellow will also be recognized at the Design Legends Gala in September of 2010, held in New York City.
Responsibility
The 2010 fellow’s honor will not stop at the Gala. The Philadelphia chapter will call on the fellow the following year to act as the face and voice of the Philadelphia design community in a variety of events and media platforms designed to promote the value of design among industry and general audiences.
