PHILADELPHIA LEGAL PUBLISHING COMPANY CURRENTLY HAS AN OPENING FOR AN ART DIRECTOR
BASIC JOB DUTIES:
- Lead creative team and have hands on involvement in the Production and layout of our daily newspaper. Work closely with the editorial & sales departments to maintain a high level of quality, and low error rate. Remain flexible and accommodating to last minute changes to editorial and ad content.
- Art direct and design a wide variety of creative work for our internal Marketing & Sales Departments for both Print & Web.
- Help mentor junior members of the creative team and help them grow and develop new skills.
- Work closely with managers from Editorial, Marketing & Sales to target creative approach and help find the best solution that is both on message and brings fresh creative thinking to the work.
- Report and work closely with the Production Director to collaborate and contribute new ideas to workflow, quality and cost containment.
- Maintain a low error rate by implementing feedback from members of the creative team, sales & marketing teams and other internal managers.
QUALIFICATIONS: (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, SKILLS)
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphics or a related field.
- Five years of Graphics Design leadership experience.
- Skilled in working with web development teams and direct the design process while understanding the technology and programming/coding side.
- Very high level of skill and speed in using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and above (Mac platform) for creating web designs and photo manipulation for all mediums including print.
- Highly organized, with strong workload and prioritization.
